Give to CMU

Why Should Parents Give?

All parents want to support and inspire their children. Giving to CMU is a great way to do exactly those things—plus, it's tax deductible.

Tuition covers only two-thirds of the cost of a CMU education. With a gift of any amount, you can provide resources above and beyond what tuition makes possible. Best of all, you can designate your gift to an area that will impact your student most directly.

Giving to the university is also a way for parents to serve as role models for their children. By supporting CMU with a gift of any amount, parents can create the beginning of their family's philanthropic legacy with the university.

Take the story of the Millers. Jim (E'77, '83, '95) and Janel (E'80, '84) Miller were inducted as lifetime members of the university's Order of the May in recognition of their 25 consecutive years of giving. Now, their son Jeffrey (E'10) is following in their footsteps by giving back too.

Your generous support has a significant impact that will extend well beyond your student’s time on campus.
