Give to CMU

The Andrew Carnegie Society

For 45 years, ACS members have fueled Carnegie Mellon University's remarkable rise to global prominence. Our community of more than 3,500 alumni and friends supports talented students and gives the university the ability to invest in new opportunities and address global challenges.

Thank you for being part of those efforts and accomplishments.

Beginning July 1, 2017, the ACS will increase its minimum qualifying gift to $2,500. We are confident this new level will greatly enhance our collective impact so CMU can pursue its leading-edge vision.

This change represents the first increase of the minimum qualifying gift since the Society's founding in 1972. You can learn about the transition in the Frequently Asked Questions.

For those making gifts of $1,000 or more through June 30, 2017, you will continue to be included in ACS events for one additional year.

Members impact the life of the university on a daily basis through their ongoing philanthropy, engagement and volunteerism. The ACS encourages members to focus their giving in support of students and special projects including:

  • ACS Legacy Scholarships for current CMU students
  • Small Undergraduate Research Grants
  • Student Experience Enhancement Fund

In addition, the ACS recognizes outstanding efforts among its members through the ACS Awards and engages the entire membership through exclusive events and programming for members. The ACS is guided in its efforts by the volunteer ACS board and staff. Please feel free to contact us at any time.
